How much should I feed my dog?A general practice is to feed adult dogs 2-3% of their body weight daily. As an example, a dog weighing 5 kilograms means 100-150 grams of food per day - that's 5,000 grams multiplied by 0.02 or 0.03 Toy dogs (1 - 5kg), 20 - 150g Small dogs (5 - 10kg), 150 - 300g Medium dogs (10 - 25kg), 300 - 750g Large dogs (25 - 45kg), 750 - 1350g This is meant to be a guide, as individual needs of adult dogs vary depending on factors such as age, weight, activity level, metabolism, breed, etc. Some may need more food, some less. Adjust feeding amounts accordingly. Puppies require more food than adults. Feeding 2-3x the adult feeding amount is considered normal, to support their nutritional needs for proper growth and development. For pregnant and nursing dogs, free-choice feeding is highly recommended

How often should I feed my dog?Adult dogs can be fed 1-2x daily. Puppies need to be fed more frequently, 3-4x daily within their first year. Growing pups need a lot of nutrients to support their development but their small(er) tummies can only take so much food at a time, so they need to be fed more often. Pregnant and nursing dogs should have easy access to food whenever they want to eat. Remember, they aren't just eating for themselves! Regardless of age, dogs need fresh water available at all times.
-
How should I store the food?Unopened food should be placed in the freezer, only to be moved to the fridge to defrost 12-24 hours before feeding. Food already opened can be placed back in the fridge (preferably the coldest part) but must be consumed within 5 days. Our food can be safely kept up to 6 months in the freezer from the time it was cooked. Always follow the best before date label on your package.
